For the last month or two, an old song has repeatedly been going through my head. I kept trying to remember what the title is but it just wasn’t coming to me. Last night I was playing around on the Internet, which for me means looking up random facts, reading them, and then branching out to tangential facts and reading about those. Anyway, last night I started looking at eye colors, which has always fascinated me, and I saw a picture of David Bowie. So of course I had to read more about him. When I was reading his Wikipedia bio it mentioned some of his early influences. At the end of that paragraph it read, “Upon listening to Little Richard’s song ‘Tutti Frutti’, Bowie later said that he had ‘heard God.’ “
You guessed it: that was the song I had been singing.
I also think I just heard God.
