When my daughter was 10, she saw a picture of me that I like because my face look thinner in it. She said, “I don’t like this picture of you. Your face looks too thin.”
This is the same girl who used to jiggle the post-pregnancy fat on my stomach, lovingly lay her head on it, and affectionately call it “the big belly.”
